FRIEDEMANN VOGEL

I’ve stopped obsessing over my body

The principal of the Stuttgart Ballet doesn’t do extra exercises after work and isn’t someone who only eats vegetables and organic food. “That would be torture,” he explains. Right after celebrating his twenty-fifth anniversary with the company, Vogel reveals that he prefers swimming to going to the gym, has little patience, and tends not to over-rationalize when he’s on stage. An in-depth conversation with one of the most renowned dancers of his generation, who shares why he’s a fan of Pedro Almodóvar and why, when it comes to privacy, he agrees with Michelle Pfeiffer.
