The second edition of the Miami International Ballet Competition, took place from January 23 to January 27, 2019 at the Julius Littman North Miami Beach Performing Arts Theater. Founded and directed by Vladimir Issaev and Yanis Pikieris, this international contest aims to unite young dancers from around the world and gathered close to 200 participants from countries such as China, Peru, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Malaysia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Panama, and the United States.
They came together to share the best of their abilities aiming for cash awards, medals, scholarships and opportunities to join ballet companies or major ballet schools to continue their professional training. The jury is comprised of internationally renowned ballet masters and directors, whose knowledge and expertise contribute to make this competition a world-class event.
