In 2018, The Australian Ballet appointed Alice Topp as a resident choreographer. In 2019, the company will take the next steps towards discovering and nurturing female talent, starting with an important initiative for up-and-coming classical dancemakers. The Australian Ballet, Sydney Opera House and Dance Australia have joined forces to offer a thrilling opportunity for an emerging female choreographer. If you’re a classically trained dancer/choreographer and would like to see your work showcased by The Australian Ballet, this could be you.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL RECEIVE
A research and development residency at the Sydney Opera House A commission to create a work for Bodytorque, The Australian Ballet’s showcase for new choreography.
Submit your CV, including a list of performed works, support material, such as referees and links to videos (no more than 20 minutes viewing in total).
