Drei herausragende Tänzerinnen des American Ballet Theatre, Isabella Bolyston, Madison Brown und Kayla Mak, wurden mit dem renommierten Princess Grace Award 2025 ausgezeichnet. Die Stiftung vergibt jährlich Stipendien zur Förderung junger Talente in Tanz, Theater und Film.
Madison Brown, Mitglied im Corps de ballet des ABT, wurde mit dem Chris Hellman Dance Award geehrt – einer Sonderauszeichnung innerhalb der Tanzkategorie. Kayla Mak, Tänzerin der ABT Studio Company, erhielt die Auszeichnung auf Vorschlag der Juilliard School, an der sie 2025 ihren BFA in Tanz abschloss.
Isabella Boylston, Principal Dancer beim ABT und Preisträgerin von 2009, wurde mit dem Statue Award 2025 geehrt. Diese Auszeichnung würdigt ehemalige Preisträger:innen, die sich seit ihrem Gewinn künstlerisch besonders hervorgetan haben.
Madison Brown stammt aus Wellington, Florida, und begann im Alter von zwei Jahren mit dem Tanzen. Ihre Ausbildung führte sie u. a. zur Art of Classical Ballet und zur Lents Dance Company. 2018 trat sie mit zeitgenössischen Stücken bei NBC’s World of Dance auf. Preise und Auszeichnungen pflastern ihren Weg – darunter der Legacy Award der Universal Alliance, mehrfache Titel als Outstanding Dancer bei NYCDA sowie Gold, Silber und Grand Prix bei renommierten Wettbewerben wie YAGP und World Ballet Competition. Seit 2024 ist sie festes Mitglied des ABT-Ensembles.

Kayla Mak, aufgewachsen in Rye Brook, New York, mit japanischen, chinesischen und kubanischen Wurzeln, erhielt ihre Ausbildung an der Westchester Dance Academy, der Ballet Academy East und zuletzt an der Juilliard School. Sie war als „Clara“ in der Radio City Christmas Spectacular zu sehen und arbeitete mit Choreograph:innen wie Juliano Nunes, James Whiteside und Yannick Lebrun. 2024 trat sie der ABT Studio Company bei und wird im Dezember 2025 in das Hauptensemble aufgenommen.

Isabella Boylston ist seit 2014 Principal Dancer beim ABT. Ihr Repertoire reicht von Giselle bis Onegin, von Ashton bis Tharp – sie verkörpert Klassik mit gegenwärtiger Strahlkraft. Zu ihren Auszeichnungen zählen der Clive Barnes Award und das Annenberg Fellowship.
Die Princess Grace Foundation-USA, benannt nach Fürstin Gracia Patricia, unterstützt seit 1982 junge Künstler:innen in den darstellenden Künsten. Die feierliche Preisverleihung findet am 29. Oktober 2025 in New York City statt – in Anwesenheit der Fürstin Charlène von Monaco.
Madison Brown and Kayla Mak Awarded 2025 Princess Grace Fellowships – Isabella Boylston Receives Statue Award
rising artists of American Ballet Theatre, Madison Brown and Kayla Mak, have been named recipients of the 2025 Princess Grace Award for excellence in dance. The prestigious fellowships, granted annually by the Princess Grace Foundation-USA, honour emerging voices in the performing arts.
Madison Brown, a corps de ballet member at ABT, received the Chris Hellman Dance Award – a special distinction awarded annually to one dance recipient. Kayla Mak, currently dancing with ABT Studio Company, was nominated by The Juilliard School, where she completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance earlier this year.
Principal dancer Isabella Boylston, herself a Princess Grace Award laureate (2009), has been honoured with the 2025 Statue Award. This rare distinction recognises former recipients who have gone on to distinguish themselves within their field.
Madison Brown, originally from Wellington, Florida, began her dance training at age two. Her path led her through institutions such as The Art of Classical Ballet and Lents Dance Company. In 2018, she performed contemporary work on NBC’s World of Dance. Among her many accolades are the Legacy Award from Universal Alliance, multiple titles as National Outstanding Dancer with NYCDA, and medals from YAGP and the World Ballet Competition. After joining the ABT Studio Company in 2022, she became a corps member in July 2024.
Kayla Mak, raised in Rye Brook, New York, and of Japanese, Chinese and Cuban heritage, trained at Westchester Dance Academy and Ballet Academy East before studying at Juilliard under Alicia Graf Mack. She has appeared on World of Dance, danced the role of Clara in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, and worked with choreographers including Juliano Nunes, James Whiteside and Yannick Lebrun. She joined ABT Studio Company in 2024 and is set to become a main Company apprentice in December 2025.
Isabella Boylston, a defining artist of her generation, has been with ABT since 2005 and a principal since 2014. Her repertoire spans from Giselle to Manon, from Balanchine to Millepied – a dancer of range, depth and luminous presence. Her accolades include the Clive Barnes Award and the Annenberg Fellowship.
Founded in 1982 in memory of Princess Grace of Monaco, the Princess Grace Foundation-USA supports emerging talent in theatre, dance and film through scholarships, apprenticeships and fellowships. The 2025 laureates will be honoured at the annual black-tie Gala on 29 October 2025 in New York City, attended by H.S.H. The Princess of Monaco.
