She trained in Cambridge and at the <strong data-start=\"2278\" data-end=\"2311\">Royal Ballet School in London<\/strong>, before embarking on a professional dancing career that included engagements with <strong data-start=\"2394\" data-end=\"2411\">Ballet Zurich<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"2413\" data-end=\"2432\">Lucerne Theatre<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"2437\" data-end=\"2461\">Bern Concert Theatre<\/strong> between 1994 and 1999. From 2002 to 2006 she was an Associate Artist of the <strong data-start=\"2538\" data-end=\"2559\">Royal Opera House<\/strong>, and subsequently served as <strong data-start=\"2588\" data-end=\"2634\">Director of Ballet at Bern Concert Theatre<\/strong> from 2007 to 2013.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2655\" data-end=\"3356\">Marston has since established herself as one of the most distinctive narrative voices in contemporary ballet. As a freelance choreographer, she has been invited by many of the world\u2019s leading companies, including <strong data-start=\"2868\" data-end=\"2888\">The Royal Ballet<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"2890\" data-end=\"2917\">The Royal Danish Ballet<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"2919\" data-end=\"2946\">English National Ballet<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"2948\" data-end=\"2967\">Northern Ballet<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"2969\" data-end=\"2996\">Finnish National Ballet<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"2998\" data-end=\"3014\">Ballet Black<\/strong> and the <strong data-start=\"3023\" data-end=\"3050\">National Ballet of Cuba<\/strong>, as well as institutions such as <strong data-start=\"3084\" data-end=\"3103\">Opera Australia<\/strong> and the <strong data-start=\"3112\" data-end=\"3152\">Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts<\/strong>.
