Das Staatstheater Mainz hat die Ernennung von Annabelle Bonn\u00e9ry zur neuen Tanzdirektorin ab der Spielzeit 2027\/28 bekanntgegeben. Sie wird die Nachfolge von Honne Dohrmann antreten, der nach einer erfolgreichen und pr\u00e4genden \u00c4ra im Juli 2027 in den Ruhestand geht.<\/p>\n

Die Vorstellung von Annabelle Bonn\u00e9ry erfolgte offiziell im Rahmen einer Aufsichtsratssitzung, bei der auch Intendant Markus M\u00fcller, Oberb\u00fcrgermeister Nino Haase und Staatssekret\u00e4r f\u00fcr Kultur Prof. Dr. J\u00fcrgen Hardeck anwesend waren. M\u00fcller lobte Bonn\u00e9ry als vision\u00e4re K\u00fcnstlerin, deren kompromisslose Anspr\u00fcche und mutige k\u00fcnstlerische Vision perfekt mit dem Geist von tanzmainz \u00fcbereinstimmen. \u201eDie au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnliche kreative Vielfalt eines \u201aOrtes der Entstehung\u2018 und die hohe k\u00fcnstlerische Qualit\u00e4t des Ensembles machen tanzmainz zu einem Leuchtturm im zeitgen\u00f6ssischen Tanz\u201c, so M\u00fcller. \u201eAnnabelle verk\u00f6rpert die Haltung und das Engagement, die diese Erfolgsgeschichte fortf\u00fchren werden.\u201c<\/p>\n

Unter der Leitung von Markus M\u00fcller hat sich tanzmainz seit 2014 international etabliert und gastierte in bedeutenden Kulturmetropolen wie Tokio, New York, Montreal und Paris. Die Nachfrage nach Gastspielen w\u00e4chst stetig und unterstreicht die gro\u00dfe Strahlkraft der Compagnie.<\/p>\n

Mein Ziel ist es, dieses starke Erbe mit einem vielf\u00e4ltigen und dynamischen Programm zu erweitern, das den Dialog zwischen Publikum und K\u00fcnstler*innen f\u00f6rdert \u2013 insbesondere mit denen, die gesellschaftlich relevante Themen aufgreifen. Ich freue mich sehr darauf, gemeinsam mit dem engagierten Ensemble und dem Publikum in Mainz eine Zukunft voller Exzellenz, Neugier und Offenheit zu gestalten.\u201c<\/p>\n

The Staatstheater Mainz has announced that Annabelle Bonn\u00e9ry will become the new Director of Dance starting with the 2027\/28 season. She will succeed Honne Dohrmann, who retires in July 2027 after an influential and celebrated tenure.<\/p>\n

Bonn\u00e9ry\u2019s appointment was formally presented during a supervisory board meeting attended by Artistic Director Markus M\u00fcller, Mayor Nino Haase, and State Secretary for Culture Prof. Dr. J\u00fcrgen Hardeck. M\u00fcller praised Bonn\u00e9ry as a visionary artist whose uncompromising standards and bold artistic vision align perfectly with tanzmainz\u2019s ethos. \u201cThe extraordinary creative richness of a \u2018Place of Creation\u2019 and the high artistic calibre of the company have made tanzmainz a beacon in contemporary dance,\u201d M\u00fcller stated. \u201cAnnabelle embodies the spirit and ambition that will carry this legacy forward.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since 2014, under M\u00fcller\u2019s leadership, tanzmainz has risen to international acclaim, with guest performances in major cultural capitals such as Tokyo, New York, Montreal, and Paris.
