Elisa Carrillo Cabrera wird ab Januar 2026 die neue Direktorin, unterst\u00fctzt von Mikhail Kaniskin als stellvertretendem Direktor.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Die Geschichte der John Cranko Schule<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Die Schule wurde 1961 vom vision\u00e4ren Gr\u00fcnder des Stuttgarter Balletts, John Cranko, ins Leben gerufen. Cranko kam aus London nach Stuttgart, um eine Ballettschule zu gr\u00fcnden, die eng mit der Kompanie verbunden ist. Die ersten Klassen begannen im September 1971 unter Anne Woolliams&#8217; Leitung. Die offizielle Einweihung fand am 1. Dezember 1971 statt. Seitdem hat die Schule unter der F\u00fchrung angesehener Direktoren wie Heinz Clauss, Alex Ursuliak und Tadeusz Matacz zahlreiche herausragende T\u00e4nzer hervorgebracht. Er war Erster Solist und Lehrer am Badischen Staatstheater Karlsruhe und Gastlehrer an renommierten Ballettkompanien weltweit. 1998 wurde er zum Direktor der John Cranko Schule ernannt.<br \/>\nUnter Matacz&#8217; Leitung wurde die Schule zu einem Eckpfeiler der klassischen Ballettausbildung, bekannt f\u00fcr rigoroses Training und k\u00fcnstlerische Exzellenz. Zahlreiche Absolventen seiner Schule haben internationale Anerkennung gefunden.<br \/>\nIn einer Stellungnahme \u00e4u\u00dferte sich der K\u00fcnstlerische Direktor Tamas Detrich dankbar: \u201eTadeusz Matacz hat seit 27 Jahren eine entscheidende Rolle bei der Ausbildung junger T\u00e4nzer gespielt. Geboren in Mexiko, erhielt sie ihre Ausbildung an der Escuela Nacional de Danza Cl\u00e1sica und der English National Ballet School in London. Sie begann als Praktikantin beim Stuttgarter Ballett und stieg schnell zum Solisten auf. 2011 wurde sie zur Ersten Solistin am Staatsballett Berlin ernannt. Carrillo Cabrera hat zahlreiche Auszeichnungen erhalten, darunter den renommierten Prix Benois de la Danse.<br \/>\nZusammen mit ihrem Ehemann, Mikhail Kaniskin, engagiert sie sich f\u00fcr kulturellen Austausch und kulturelle Zug\u00e4nglichkeit, insbesondere durch ihre Elisa Carrillo Cabrera Stiftung. Under his leadership, the school has become one of the world&#8217;s leading institutions for classical ballet. Elisa Carrillo Cabrera will take over as Director from January 2026, supported by Mikhail Kaniskin as Deputy Director.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The History of the John Cranko School<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The school was founded in 1961 by John Cranko, the visionary founder of the Stuttgart Ballet. Cranko came to Stuttgart from London with the aim of establishing a ballet school closely linked to the company. The first classes began in September 1971 under the direction of Anne Woolliams. The official inauguration took place on 1 December 1971. Since then, the school has flourished under the leadership of esteemed directors such as Heinz Clauss, Alex Ursuliak, and Tadeusz Matacz, producing numerous outstanding dancers. I am deeply grateful for his tireless work and dedication.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Elisa Carrillo Cabrera<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Elisa Carrillo Cabrera is a former soloist of the Stuttgart Ballet and Principal Dancer of the Berlin State Ballet. Born in Mexico, she trained at the Escuela Nacional de Danza Cl\u00e1sica and the English National Ballet School in London. She started as an apprentice at the Stuttgart Ballet and quickly rose to become a soloist. In 2011, she was appointed Principal Dancer at the Berlin State Ballet. Carrillo Cabrera has received numerous awards, including the prestigious Prix Benois de la Danse.<\/p>\n<p>Together with her husband, Mikhail Kaniskin, she promotes cultural exchange and accessibility, particularly through the Elisa Carrillo Cabrera Foundation.
