To gain deeper insights into the artistic vision and the rigorous process behind the scenes, we had the privilege of sitting down with Kanji Segawa, the newly appointed Assistant Rehearsal Director of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. With a rich background in both classical and contemporary dance, Segawa brings a unique perspective to the company. Our conversation delved into his journey from Kanagawa, Japan, to the heart of one of the most prestigious dance companies in the world, his experiences working with renowned choreographers, and his vision for the future of Alvin Ailey.
