The prestigious Prix de Lausanne, an international ballet competition for young dancers, has announced its 2025 Prize Winners. Held at the Beaulieu Theatre in Lausanne, the competition saw 85 candidates from around the world, with 20 reaching the Finals.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Jury, chaired by Laurent Hilaire, Director of the Bayerisches Staatsballett and \u00c9toile of the Paris Opera Ballet, selected nine exceptional dancers to receive scholarships, allowing them to join prestigious partner schools or companies.<\/p>\n

    Additionally, several special awards were presented, including the Best Young Talent Award to PARK YounJae (South Korea), the Beaulieu Award to YASUUMI Shinnosuke (Japan), and the Contemporary Dance Award to WHEWAY HUGHES Jakob (United Kingdom).<\/p>\n

    As part of the event, the Lifetime Achievement Award was also presented to Li Cunxin<\/strong>, the former Artistic Director of the Queensland Ballet. Li Cunxin was honored for his outstanding contributions to the world of ballet.

    Li Cunxin’s life is a powerful testament to overcoming adversity through discipline and perseverance. Born into extreme poverty in Mao’s China, Li was selected at a young age to train at the Beijing Dance Academy. Over seven years of rigorous training, he became one of the world’s finest dancers.<\/p>\n

    After his illustrious dance career, Li transitioned into the world of finance, excelling as a senior manager at one of Australia’s largest stockbroking firms. Later, he returned to his first love, dance, becoming the Artistic Director of Queensland Ballet. Under his leadership, the company transformed from a small regional ballet troupe into a globally recognised institution.<\/p>\n

    Li has been honoured with numerous prestigious awards. His autobiography, Mao’s Last Dancer<\/em>, became an international bestseller and was adapted into a successful film. Li’s inspirational journey exemplifies the power of perseverance and the pursuit of excellence.<\/p>\n

    The Prix de Lausanne continues to be a beacon of opportunity for young dancers worldwide, providing them with the chance to advance their careers and achieve their dreams.<\/p>\n

      Dar\u00fcber hinaus wurden mehrere Sonderpreise vergeben, darunter der Preis f\u00fcr das Beste Junge Talent an PARK YounJae (S\u00fcdkorea), der Beaulieu-Preis an YASUUMI Shinnosuke (Japan) und der Preis f\u00fcr Zeitgen\u00f6ssischen Tanz an WHEWAY HUGHES Jakob (Vereinigtes K\u00f6nigreich).<\/p>\n

      Im Rahmen der Veranstaltung wurde auch der Lifetime Achievement Award<\/strong> an Li Cunxin<\/strong> verliehen, den ehemaligen k\u00fcnstlerischen Leiter des Queensland Ballet. Li Cunxin wurde f\u00fcr seine herausragenden Beitr\u00e4ge zur Ballettwelt ausgezeichnet.<\/p>\n

      Li Cunxins Lebensgeschichte ist ein Beweis daf\u00fcr, dass man durch Disziplin und Durchhalteverm\u00f6gen Widrigkeiten \u00fcberwinden kann.<\/p>\n
