I was fortunate to have worked with so many talented young dancers who have gone on to enjoy exceptional careers. I have consistently been inspired by my colleagues and been privileged to work alongside a team of immensely dedicated individuals. I would like to express my gratitude to them for sharing my curiosity and drive, which has led us to collectively elevate and progress our training culture.<\/p>\n<p>However, I believe it is now the right time for me to hand over to someone who will build on what has been achieved during my tenure and bring in fresh ideas to ensure the School remains at the forefront of international ballet training. I wish The Royal Ballet School, its governors, staff, and students every success for their exciting future.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>During his ten years at The Royal Ballet School, Christopher has overseen the introduction of over 40 initiatives aimed at improving the student experience. These include the Healthy Dancer programme, mental health support for students, expanded teaching and intensive course programmes, increased access, and partnerships with the global dance community.<\/p>\n<p>Christopher Powneys&#8217; leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdowns was instrumental in guiding the school through one of the most challenging periods in its history.<\/p>\n<p>The Chair of Governors, Christopher Rodrigues CBE, stated:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Christopher has made a significant contribution over the past ten years. We appreciate his expertise and dedication. It is clear that he has played a crucial role in establishing The Royal Ballet School&#8217;s global reputation and has been instrumental in promoting innovation and enhancing the student experience, which has undergone a remarkable transformation in the last decade.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Board of Governors will now discuss the next steps in appointing a successor to Mr Powney.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Christopher Powney hat den Vorstand der Royal Ballet School dar\u00fcber informiert, dass er beabsichtigt, seine Rolle als k\u00fcnstlerischer Direktor und CEO im Juli zu verlassen, wenn seine zweite f\u00fcnfj\u00e4hrige Amtszeit zu Ende geht.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Es war mir eine Ehre und ein Vergn\u00fcgen, in den letzten zehn Jahren als k\u00fcnstlerischer Leiter zur Royal Ballet School zur\u00fcckzukehren. Meine Kollegen haben mich immer wieder inspiriert und ich hatte das Privileg, mit einem Team von \u00e4u\u00dferst engagierten Menschen zusammenzuarbeiten. Ich m\u00f6chte ihnen meinen Dank daf\u00fcr aussprechen, dass sie meine Neugier und meinen Elan geteilt haben, was uns dazu gebracht hat, unsere Ausbildungskultur gemeinsam zu verbessern und voranzubringen.<\/p>\n<p>Ich glaube jedoch, dass es nun an der Zeit ist, die Leitung an jemanden zu \u00fcbergeben, der auf dem w\u00e4hrend meiner Amtszeit Erreichten aufbaut und neue Ideen einbringt, um sicherzustellen, dass die Schule weiterhin an der Spitze der internationalen Ballettausbildung steht. Ich w\u00fcnsche der Royal Ballet School, ihren Direktoren, Mitarbeitern und Studenten viel Erfolg f\u00fcr ihre spannende Zukunft.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>W\u00e4hrend seiner zehnj\u00e4hrigen T\u00e4tigkeit an der Royal Ballet School hat Christopher die Einf\u00fchrung von \u00fcber 40 Initiativen zur Verbesserung der Sch\u00fclererfahrung \u00fcberwacht. Dazu geh\u00f6ren das Healthy-Dancer-Programm, die Unterst\u00fctzung f\u00fcr die psychische Gesundheit der Studierenden, erweiterte Unterrichts- und Intensivkursprogramme, ein verbesserter Zugang und Partnerschaften mit der weltweiten Tanzgemeinschaft.<\/p>\n<p>Christopher Powneys&#8217; F\u00fchrungsqualit\u00e4ten w\u00e4hrend der COVID-19-Pandemie und der anschlie\u00dfenden Schlie\u00dfungen haben ma\u00dfgeblich dazu beigetragen, die Schule durch eine der schwierigsten Phasen ihrer Geschichte zu f\u00fchren.<\/p>\n<p>Der Vorsitzende des Obersten Rates, Christopher Rodrigues CBE, erkl\u00e4rte:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Christopher hat in den letzten zehn Jahren einen bedeutenden Beitrag geleistet.
