{"id":53803,"date":"2021-10-27T08:00:47","date_gmt":"2021-10-27T08:00:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.danceforyou-magazine.com\/?p=53803"},"modified":"2026-04-16T07:28:59","modified_gmt":"2026-04-16T07:28:59","slug":"the-erasmus-project-teachers-for-swanz","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.danceforyou-magazine.com\/en\/the-erasmus-project-teachers-for-swanz\/","title":{"rendered":"The Erasmus+ project &#8220;Teachers for SwanZ&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Almost a year after it started, the <em>Teachers for SwanZ<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em>project\u00a0continues its journey through the world of ballet and dance schools, borrowing the optimism and energy of the teachers and students who have started a new school year, 2021 \u2013 2022.\u00a0A much better school year, we all hope, when the pandemic will be defeated and the classes and the dance training could be held not in the living room, but physically, in the classroom and dance hall.<\/p>\n<p><em>Teachers for SwanZ<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em>is\u00a0a strategic partnership project co-financed by the\u00a0<em>Erasmus+<\/em>\u00a0Program of the European Union, dedicated to dance and choreography vocational education, initiated and coordinated by the\u00a0<em>Floria Capsali<\/em>\u00a0Choreography High School in Bucharest.\u00a0The project runs from December 1, 2020 to November 30, 2022, in partnership with\u00a0the National School\u00a0of Arts <em>Professor\u00a0Vesselin Stoyanov<\/em>\u00a0in Rousse (Bulgaria),\u00a0<em>Attitude Studios \u2013 Ballet with Laura<\/em>\u00a0in Vienna (Austria) and the Hellenic Union of Romania.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u00a0As recently we all celebrated the <em>World Ballet Day<\/em>\u00a0<em>\u2013 October\u00a019th<\/em>, when the big companies of the world revealed to us aspects of the show preparation that we usually cannot see, we thought to share with you details of what is not seen, of what is behind the scenes when we talk about the development of the <em>Teachers<\/em>\u00a0<em>for SwanZ <\/em>project.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em>First of all, who are those behind the curtain?\u00a0If we refer to the two ballet and dance public schools involved, the high schools in Bucharest and in Rousse, the protagonists are ballet and dance teachers, a ballet pianist, who is also the project manager, colleagues who teach foreign languages and literature, mathematics, physics, geography, biology, social sciences.\u00a0They all want fresh air and career progress, to increase the prestige of their schools, international collaboration to expand and diversify their methods of working with students.\u00a0A private ballet and dance school, the one in Vienna, brought into the project famous ballet dancers who are also teachers, psychologists, PR and marketing people, actors, various talents that brought a new perspective to the initiative, a perspective that can bring students and those who teach them closer to the stage world, to the\u00a0<em>market<\/em>\u00a0in which they will exercise their profession.\u00a0Equally talented in teaching dance, especially traditional Greek dance, are the members of the Hellenic Union of Romania involved in the project \u2013 from poets and translators to teachers, entrepreneurs, persons with very different professions.\u00a0In order to achieve the project\u2019s\u00a0&#8220;concrete results&#8221; &#8211; a training manual for ballet and dance teachers and a guide for teachers who teach general culture subjects in dance schools &#8211; the participants have created two specialized working groups.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_53805\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-53805\" style=\"width: 683px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-53805 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.danceforyou-magazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Romania-2-open-class-683x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"683\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.danceforyou-magazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Romania-2-open-class-683x1024.jpg 683w, https:\/\/www.danceforyou-magazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Romania-2-open-class-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.danceforyou-magazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Romania-2-open-class-768x1152.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.danceforyou-magazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Romania-2-open-class-1024x1536.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.danceforyou-magazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Romania-2-open-class-1365x2048.jpg 1365w, https:\/\/www.danceforyou-magazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Romania-2-open-class-300x450.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.danceforyou-magazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Romania-2-open-class-600x900.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.danceforyou-magazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Romania-2-open-class-scaled.jpg 1707w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 683px) 100vw, 683px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-53805\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">open class<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Project stage and what&#8217;s next<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Since March until now, these groups have met 2 to 3 times a month, exclusively in the virtual environment, and during the summer holidays they have worked intensively to develop the two works, which will become, through the <em>Erasmus+<\/em>\u00a0Program of the European Union, open educational tools, made available free of charge to those interested.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_53806\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-53806\" style=\"width: 824px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-53806 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.danceforyou-magazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/UER-ok-open-class.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"824\" height=\"408\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.danceforyou-magazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/UER-ok-open-class.jpg 824w, https:\/\/www.danceforyou-magazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/UER-ok-open-class-300x149.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.danceforyou-magazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/UER-ok-open-class-768x380.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.danceforyou-magazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/UER-ok-open-class-600x297.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 824px) 100vw, 824px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-53806\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">UER open class<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>By the end of this year, the two working groups will finalize the works\u2019 content and in 2022 the materials will be ready for printing, translated and posted on the net in the languages of the partnership \u2013 English, Romanian, Bulgarian and German.\u00a0 If you are wondering what these materials bring new, in short we can say that the<em> Teachers for SwanZ<\/em> training manual, targeting the ballet teachers and dance instructors, aims to enrich the existing dance methodologies and practical guidelines, to bring them up to date, to adapt them to the way in which the students of 13- 16 years old, representatives\u00a0of<em> generation Z<\/em>,\u00a0receive new knowledge and skills.\u00a0<em>The Mini-guide of Movement,<\/em> the work done with and for teachers who teach other disciplines in dance schools, will encourage interdisciplinary learning, facilitating the links between dance and general education. Both materials will combine the teachers\u2019 rigour with their personal experience, which will bring more originality to the approach.\u00a0\u00a0 The third concrete result of the project is under construction \u2013 the dance platform <em>Virtual Learning Laboratory \u2013\u00a0<\/em>an innovative educational tool that will give those interested the opportunity to learn, to improve themselves in the field of different types of professional dance \u2013 classical ballet, character dance, traditional dance, contemporary dance. But we will come back to this issue in a future material.<\/p>\n<p>In 2021 the priority was to work on the creation of educational products. According to the decision of all the partners, the year 2022 will be dedicated mostly to the organization and development of the planned \u201cmobilities\u201d, which will take place in Bucharest, Rousse and Vienna.
