The 37<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Annual Princess Grace Awards Gala will be held on November 25, 2019 at The Plaza Hotel in New York City. Performers and presenters will be announced in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n<p>In the presence of His Serene Highness The Prince of Monaco, with Major Gala supporters Rod &amp; Karen Gancas as Crown Sponsors, the 2019 Princess Grace Awards Gala continues the legacy of Princess Grace (Kelly) of Monaco, who helped emerging artists pursue their artistic goals during Her lifetime. In total, the Foundation awards over $1 million to artists in theater, dance, and film annually.<\/p>\n<p>The Prince Rainier III Award recognizes a renowned leader in the arts whose own accomplishments are coupled with demonstrated service to their community. Past recipients of the Award include <strong>Julie Andrews<\/strong>, <strong>Mikhail Baryshnikov<\/strong>, <strong>James Cameron<\/strong>, <strong>Glenn Close<\/strong>, <strong>Tim Daly<\/strong>,<strong> Dick Van Dyke<\/strong>, <strong>Queen Latifah<\/strong>, <strong>George Lucas<\/strong>, <strong>Mandy Patinkin<\/strong>, <strong>Robert Redford<\/strong>, <strong>Twyla Tharp<\/strong>, <strong>Cicely Tyson<\/strong>, <strong>Denzel Washington<\/strong>. The Prince Rainier III Award includes a grant of $15,000 to the philanthropic organization of the recipient\u2019s choice and a uniquely designed sculpture by artist Alex Soldier. Soldier designed a stunning work of art incorporating symbols representing all three disciplines lauded by the Foundation: theater, dance and film.<\/p>\n<p>As previously announced, the evening will also honor past Princess Grace Award winner <strong>Chinonye Chukwu<\/strong> with the 2019 Princess Grace Statue Award for her continuing excellence in her chosen discipline.
