This was reported by Lucina Jim\u00e9nez, general director of the National Institute of Fine Arts and Literature (INBAL), who announced the new appointment. Her husband, principal dancer with State Ballet Berlin, Mikhail Kaniskin, meanwhile, will help strengthen the international presence of the CND, as well as academic processes of this company, according to a statement.\u00a0 <br> In January Elisa Carrillo Cabrera got the \u201cAlma de la Danza\u201d 2019 award in Russia. She is the first Mexican dancer to receive the most important recognition of choreographic art in that country. The reason for the award is to give recognition to the Mexican\u00a0 dancer for her work \u201cpromoting classic heritage in the world\u201d and her\u00a0 contribution to the dissemination, promotion, and improvement of dance,\u00a0 according to Valeria Uralskaya, editor-in-chief of the Renowned magazine\u00a0 &#8216;Balet&#8217; and honorary artist of Russia. The prize \u201cAlma de la Danza\u201d was created in 1994 by the\u00a0 Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the editors of the\u00a0 magazine \u201cBallet\u201d.\u00a0In past editions, he has been handed over to legends\u00a0 of classical dance such as Natalia Makarova, Uliana Lapatkina, Svetlana\u00a0 Zakharova, Diana Vishneva, Yuri Grigorovich, Maya Plisetskaya, and\u00a0 Rodion Shchedrin. During the years Elisa was also awarded with the Gold Medal for Merit of Fine Arts in 2016,\u00a0 also the International Dance Open of St. Petersburg in 2013 and the\u00a0 Medal of Merit in Arts of the International Festival of Mayan\u00a0 Culture.\u00a0In addition to his nomination to the Belisario Dominguez Medal\u00a0 by the Chamber of Senators.
